Starlight on mobile
There is no Starlight-branded casino app from Gateway. BC players who want phone access use PlayNow in a mobile browser, the PlayNow Slots BC and PlayNow BC Sportsbook apps, or Encore Rewards for loyalty and a digital membership card. Starlight at 350 Gifford Street is the on-property venue. Mobile tools extend PlayNow and Encore off-property. Which phone options exist for BC players
Gateway does not publish a single Starlight Casino app. BC players choose among four phone paths:
- Mobile browser to PlayNow — full account lobby after login (casino, sports, lottery).
- PlayNow Slots BC — a dedicated slots and electronic casino app, not the full browser catalogue.
- PlayNow BC Sportsbook — sports betting only, separate from the slots app.
- Encore Rewards by BCLC — loyalty, digital card, and cardless play on eligible machines on-property. Not online casino wagering.

Mobile browser — full PlayNow on your phone
The mobile browser is the primary path for full PlayNow after login. Open PlayNow in Safari on iPhone or Chrome (or your default browser) on Android — no store download required. The responsive web lobby loads casino, sports, and lottery products tied to your account. Availability follows your profile, not a separate mobile catalogue.

PlayNow Slots BC and PlayNow BC Sportsbook apps
BCLC lists two separate apps for BC — do not treat them as one download.
PlayNow Slots BC is the official BCLC slots and electronic casino app. It focuses on that product line, not the full browser lobby. You need an existing PlayNow account and BC eligibility. On iPhone, install from the App Store. On Android, install from Google Play or the official PlayNow Android download channel if help directs you there — not third-party APK sites.
PlayNow BC Sportsbook is a separate sports-betting app — not bundled with the slots app. Same 19+ age rule and BC geo requirements apply. Install from the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android. Use the official PlayNow Android download channel only when help points you there.

Encore Rewards app — loyalty, not online casino
Encore Rewards by BCLC is a loyalty and membership app, not a PlayNow casino client. It covers your digital Encore card, point balance checks, cardless play on eligible slots and electronic table games on-property, promotional notifications, and event information. It works across Gateway BC casinos, including Starlight at Gifford Street.
The Encore app does not replace PlayNow for online real-money casino or sports wagering. Tier perks, earning rates, and redemption details are on the Promotions and loyalty page.

- Open Google Play and search Encore Rewards by BCLC, PlayNow Slots BC, or PlayNow BC Sportsbook — confirm the developer is British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).
- Tap Install, open the app, and sign in with your PlayNow or Encore account.
- PlayNow help may also offer a secure direct download for some Android builds — install only from that official path, not mirror or third-party APK sites.
- Full PlayNow lobby remains available in your phone browser without any app install.
BC location check and device requirements
- Location services. PlayNow requires BC location verification on phone — in browser and in apps. Enable location when prompted; denying permission blocks play. You must be physically in BC. VPN or location spoofing breaches terms.
- Age. 19+ for casino and PlayNow — same as on-property Starlight.
- iOS and Android. Check the current App Store or Google Play listing for each app for minimum OS versions. Requirements update with app releases.
- Connectivity. Wi-Fi or cellular both work. Long sessions on mobile data may use noticeable data — no fixed hourly figure applies across all titles.
- Updates. Keep apps updated for geo and security patches.
Phone tips
- Start in the browser for sign-up — then add single-purpose apps once the account is active.
- Match the app to the product — sports app for sports, slots app for slots, Encore app for floor loyalty at Starlight.
- Allow location early — prevents failed login loops on cellular.
